FAQ
Summer Camp
What is the purpose of auditions, when all the girls will be in the play?
The audition process is for the girls to introduce themselves and their talents to the staff. We are not looking for a major presentation, just a brief idea about each girl's strengths, weaknesses and interests. This will help us to place everyone in the appropriate role.
How will so many girls be incorporated into the show?
The production is made up of one-act plays, songs and dance pieces. Therefore, there are many roles available of varying proportions. We aim to give everyone a highlighted part in the show.
How will the girls be divided?
For the most part, when possible we will be working together as a large group. When we need to divide the girls, they will be divided in one of three ways: random assignment, by their age, or which production piece they are in.
Will there be time spent outdoors, and if so where?
We will definitely spend time outdoors. Trips to the park will be frequent and depend on weather conditions. Outdoor activities include lunch, dancing, and production rehearsals.
Will the girls do any arts and crafts?
The girls will be creating their own pieces of art in our jewelry workshop as well as being involved in set design. Whether planning, drawing, or painting, they will be able to contribute their own personal touch.
How many councilors are there?
The number of councilors will depend on the number of girls enrolled. There will be approximately once councilor for every five campers.
What are the tzniut guidelines for the staff?
The staff must adhere to strict modesty guidelines in terms of dress and behaviour, to ensure that they are going to be proper role models for the girls involved.
